Dr Enrique Soriano is Head of Rheumatology at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Dr. Soriano earned his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine in 1982. He then went on to complete his residency training in internal medicine and specialize in rheumatology at Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, and completed a fellowship at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, in Bath UK. Dr. Soriano completed his MS degree in clinical effectiveness at the University of Buenos Aires.
In addition to practising as a rheumatologist, Dr Soriano holds numerous teaching positions. He is Associate Professor of Public Health, Director of postgraduate studies and Director of Master’s studies in clinical investigation at Instituto Universitario, Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires.
Dr Soriano has authored and co-authored more than 120 peer-reviewed science articles, being his main topics of interest psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
He is currently President of PANLAR (Pan American Associations of Rheumatology) and Past- President of The Argentinean Rheumatology Society (Sociedad Argentina de Reumatología, and stands on the Steering committee of the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA).
